Born and raised in the historical city of Isfahan full of ancient art and once the capital of the Persian Empire, Azam became passionate about art and its importance on quality of living. Later in her life, she found comfort in expressing her feelings through painting. Therefore, she learned the basics of composition, drawing, and color from well-known Persian artists while she got her inspiration from renowned artists such as Jackson Pollock and Helen Frankenthaler.
In 2005, she had the opportunity to immigrate to Atlanta and she has been working closely with great international artists since. Through her career, she has done watercolor, portrait, and abstract paintings. For Azam, art takes root in her senses and emotions and through abstract painting, she has discovered more opportunities to be creative and expressive.
Azam has defined her own unique style by pouring layers of paint and defining shapes with palette knife. She has held numerous solo and group exhibitions in different parts of the world and she is actively involved in art groups and communities in Metro Atlanta.
If you are a fellow artist, Azam welcomes you to reach out to her so that she can get to know you and exchange ideas. If you are interested in one of her abstracts, Azam takes your vote of confidence very seriously and she can’t wait to know how she can help you improve your space whether it is for your home, office, or a commercial center.
